Appraiser Rache l (Lindsey Shaw) receives the news that her top-notc hed client wa nts to buyout a small town 's beloved library to build a resort and spa on the land. Rachel is completely against the idea o f leaving NYC bu t loses the argum ent to her boss. So Rachel packs he r bags an d fl ies out to Calif ornia. During her first visit to the library she runs into writer, Jake (Dere k Theler), who is researching the tale of Capta in Bl ack Bart's hidden tre asures for his next no vel. With hopes of sa ving the lib rary, Mrs. Archer (Rachel Ticotin), t he librari an, pushes Ja ke to show Rachel what the library means to th e town . Jake's a lready got a lot on his plat e with his research a nd taking care of his niece, Hailey (Chiara Aurelia) , and nephe w, Noah (Max Page), for the summer bu t he agrees to help ou t. As Rachel learns what the library means to the c ommun ity she must f ind away to save i t befo re it's too late.
