This is a very b izarre fair y tale. It commences with a wedding and sin ging a nd dancing but nearly the w hole village is wiped out by wo lves. The bride gives b irth to a daugh ter se veral months later and promises her to the boy who saved her. Ten ye ars later there is another disru ption when Some circu s folk come by and the villager s trick them into staying. Tragedy ensues. .. Thi s has a strange c ast, dwarfs , gi ants, priests and o ccasional intrusio ns f rom the modern world in the form of t he po lice a nd a wonderer who return s bringi ng to the village the good new s of Nostradamus. It is a long fi lm but it honestly does not drag. and i f you get bored of the plot you can alwa ys look at the sumptuous Countryside.
