His paren t's wou ld rather he da te and get marri ed. He takes on t his task w ith verve. Not knowing how to approach women in a romantic w ay, he watches how other men operate and tries to e mulate them, most often without success. He ends up a ttracting the one woman he doesn't really want, a fun lo ving woman named Lau rence who lives next door, but he become s obsessed with Stella, a singer he s ees on television. He be lieves her love song is being sung directly to him. As Pierre tries t o get away fro m Laurence while purs uing Stella, he may miss the perfec t match who may be right u nder his nose.
